Elenita O. Gonzales

Teacher III

Tarlac National High School-Main

Schools Division of Tarlac Province, Region III

“The study of mathematics, like the Nile, begins in minuteness but ends in magnificence.” – Charles Caleb Colton

The satisfaction one can get from solving a math problem is very delightful for both student and teacher because this is a collaborative effort between the two. The enthusiastic way of the teachers to convey the lessons to the students can be rewarding when the students showed the great result in the evaluation or assessment. Teaching mathematics can be easier when it is based on the level of fun the student can get from the teacher and vice versa. A lively learning environment can make a significant impact when it comes to discussing this subject. Mathematics is hard as it is, so why not make the environment light and happy? “Setting goals is the first step in turning the invisible into the visible.”– Tony Robbins

This quote by Tony Robbins summarizes the need of being goal-oriented in educational management.  It is said that highly successful organizations, teams, and even individuals all have an extremely clear vision of where they are going. Setting goals are essential to keep the team going and to achieve triumph as time passes by. Having a clear and motivated goal keeps everyone on the team working hard. Also, if an organization does not set goals for their people, then it is most likely that they will be very disappointed with their results. Remember, aiming at nothing is setting yourself up to achieve nothing. It will be like walking to an endless road without a plan of overcoming the difficulties and challenges. Being a school leader does not necessarily mean that you have to be a principal or a school’s head yet. Sometimes, it can be done just by being a simple leader in a classroom. Every school year, classrooms elect presidents and other officers to lead the whole class and to help with the teacher. This may be a simple task to others but as they continue to grow and advance in the year, the skills and experience acquired may lead to something great. We may never know when one of those aspiring kids or students will be a school leader that governs not just their classmates but the whole school organization itself. (Read the full article here)

Nothing Can Drag Down an Educational Leader: Academic Triumph in Any Context

Hazel Jane C. Cortez

San Antonio, Gerona, Tarlac

The COVID-19 pandemic has transformed the roles of school leaders in unexpected and dramatic ways. Because of the unusual nature of this circumstance, there is no clear path for them to choose. Despite this, outstanding school leaders take the initiatives to ensure their students' safety and well-being. They must also use the opportunity to improve their leadership skills and attributes as school leaders. Every school leader should be able to make use of the advantages of digital platforms. In that situation, they should develop activities and programs that benefit both themselves and their employees, as well as the kids.

In times like pandemics, remedies must be given immediately. Remediation is a step-by-step procedure that tries to fix the problem and prevent it from spreading. Educational leaders' failure will have a huge influence on the lives of countless dreamers and workers. If a school principal fails, many people's lives will be hampered or destroyed. Self-reflection will assist educational leaders in being more aware of themselves. Admitting that you require assistance is a sign of courage. Pandemic let school leaders realize that more brains and bodies working are better than one.

Being a school leader entails numerous dangers, difficulties, obstacles, and pressures. Every day can be difficult, but if used appropriately, every day can lead to significant progress. According to research, taking on new tasks is one of the most effective methods to improve the skill. School leaders don't need to be in the spotlight all of the time. Leaders must accept and learn from the opinions of others.

If school leaders believe they are deficient in certain areas, it is never too late to learn more through various programs and activities. It helps to keep your mind sharp and your skills up to date.

Above all other qualities, having good people skills places them at the top of the 'favored' list. Every educational administration needs a pleasant working atmosphere. Some people do it for the sake of a job and a paycheck, but it's never too late to make a change. It is widely thought that a team's effectiveness requires a diverse range of personalities. The school leader thinks of everyone holistically and fairly by identifying these simple responsibilities. All tasks and responsibilities are monitored and reviewed, allowing for greater modifications and improvements to be made along the route.

An optimal level of performance is exemplified by a competent educational leader. They become living examples of what excellence entails. As a result, everyone in the school, even students, copies their behavior. From the first day of their administration, education leaders create a winning culture.

Fostering Trust in School Management: More Than a Leadership Can Do

May G. De Jesus

Brgy. Suizo, Tarlac City

“Lack of boundaries invites lack of respect”- Anonymous

No matter what position one holds in the organization, no matter how high and dignified they are, there are and there will always be a boundary that is set to not cross and go overboard. Boundaries, on the other hand, should be implemented by school leaders whose job is to guide and influence other people in doing their duties and tasks right.

Every people have a personal life that does not need to be exposed to the public. It is said that in a professional setting, the personal life and the work-life should be separated. This is connected to our topic today because this article should serve as a guide for when a leader is not needed in the life of its teachers and staff as well as the importance of boundaries in terms of being a school leader.

Leadership is key and important when it is instrumental to positive, long-term change, especially in times of adversity. However, it becomes negative when the above-mentioned was changed negatively. This means that being a leader holds the power of binding the team together, but it does not necessarily mean that they must hold every bit of information of their people. Moreover, school leaders should refrain from getting their ego to affect their leadership style. The responsibilities and duties that they have are high and require a lot of pressure, but to be an effective leader who sets the value, they should be aware of the need of stepping down in favor of another teacher's idea. They should not let their emotions and feelings invite the need of keeping all the pressure to themselves. Because in the first place, there are people who are willing to help and generate ideas for the desired goal and objectives.

Lastly, to not step within the boundaries of one another, there should be trust that would set a line for everyone. Let this be a reminder that school leaders should have the feeling of equality with their teachers. Because to be a teacher requires a lot of skills and knowledge as well. With that, if there is a sense of trust, school leaders will be able to view their followers as an expert, capable and self-driven in the jobs that they are doing. As a result, there will be a happy and comfortable work lifestyle that does not contradict the boundaries of each other.

Excellent Personality For Excellent School Organization

Manami Villanueva

Brgy. Maliwalo, Tarlac City

A lot of people say that having a good personality can equate to a good leadership style. This is because the personality of a leader can affect how they view and lead the team. A leader with a good personality can pass their aura of being optimistic and bright that is why a school organization with a bright and visionary feels most likely to have a leader with a good personality.

A successful and accomplished school leader always evaluates the strengths and weaknesses of each team member to ensure the most success in their duties and responsibilities. According to some research, an individual's personality type is related to his or her personality style and contributes to how well someone responds to the leadership style. In addition, leadership cannot be learned at school alone, it is not limited to books and discussions, rather successful leaders may adapt to various leadership styles due to their life experiences and are influenced by the leadership roles that are assumed.

On the other hand, one of the leadership styles that is often connected to personality is team management which mainly focuses on both concerns for people and results. With this, the school leader is encouraging the full team to work towards and achieve goals that they created and developed together. Also, the basis in team management focuses its success on trust, respect, and common goals to keep team members motivated and continue working hard. This would not be achieved if the personality of the school member does not get well with others. Thus, the way they perceive themselves to their teachers can be the way to achieve goals and stability.

An environment where all people get along is the ideal workplace for all because who would want to work in an environment wherein the boss or the leader is not something that you can approach? At the very least, the school leader's characteristics, traits, behaviors, and decisions, and personality are all open to interpretation by his or her followers and can affect how the management will operate.

To sum it up, this article conveys the message that for the management to have a team effort, there are leadership qualities and personality traits that are needed to complement each other, and this is related to having a good personality for when a bad personality meets other people, no good will ever happen. Because in the long run, leadership styles are most relevant and evident when working in a team with others to reach a common goal.

Educational Management Comes with a Style: What Do You Prefer?

Trizia Rancel S. Mamucod

Administrative Assistant II

Namabalan National High School

"Quality of your preparation determines the quality of your performance"

School is a systematic institution that goes on the educational battlefield with fully equipped armor, knowledge, and skills. All schools incorporate educational management to ensure that every flow in the institution is well-mandated and highly organized. Educational management is the preparation ground of educational institutions towards achieving their academic victory. Hence, their educational management results determine the quality of their performance. With that, there are several methods and techniques used to conduct educational management. It's a matter of choice and a matter of what is needed and suitable in a certain school. Some of these methods are democratic, autocratic, centralized, and decentralized.

Democratic educational management entails freedom with limitations. It practices the 4P's. 4P's stands for the principle of sharing responsibility, the principle of equality, the principle of freedom, and the principle of co-operation. Democracy in educational management is unleashing the full potential of all the individuals involved. This means that democratic principles, ideals, and concepts must be adhered to or embraced in all aspects of development. Teachers have enough opportunity to plan, administrate, organize, direct, coordinate, supervise, regulate, and evaluate the assignments assigned to them under this administration.

If we have democracy, we also have autocracy. Autocratic educational management practices a monopolistic approach. Educational leaders have more power to command and control the educational system in his or her territory. The school laws, policies, rules, and regulations are tightly enforced. However, the downside of the autocratic style is the high pressure felt by the school staff and members. It is also prone to manipulation of educational leaders. It is recommended that if a school adopts this style, they must choose an education leader that has the heart for its constituents.

Also, Centralized educational management is one of the choices. It focuses on educational administration, supervision, and control power and responsibility, resulting in educational management on the one hand and the division and distribution of powers and responsibilities on the other. In centralized educational management, all sorts of power are concentrated on one hand. Furthermore, there is a vertical communication flow, which results in a well-coordinated instructional team and a well-managed leader. In a small organization, it is strongly recommended. However, because all decision-making aspects are handed to top management, the decision-making process is slow in comparison to the other styles. Hence, there is inadequate control over the organization.

Finally, educational management is decentralized. It's an open tree that's used in the modern educational system. The burdens and obligations of decentralized educational management are shared by all members of the school. It usually leads to a more efficient and desired solution. All of the people concerned to come together to make decisions. The operations are completed in a timely and efficient manner.

Whatever the school's educational management preferences are, they must ensure that they are acting in the best interests of all students, as education is one of the services and rights to which all people are entitled.

Creating an Endless Opportunity through Computer Literacy

Thrystan Rel D. Mabutol

Tarlac City

Computer technology innovation has a significant impact on education. It is a part of the school curriculum because it is such an important aspect of everyone's lives today. Because of this, computer education in schools has a significant impact on young children's professional development. The Department of Education has been aware of computer management's importance thus it is already taking an action to better provide not just for the students but also for its teachers and employees.

Computers are utilized to enhance the learning process of students at a variety of educational institutions such as schools, colleges, and large universities. Audio-visual techniques are used by lecturers in schools to construct lesson plans for the students. They do this by creating electronic presentations regarding their courses using Microsoft PowerPoint, and other platforms. The computer has revolutionized the way people study, making education easier and faster. It also connects us to a variety of sources that show us diverse perspectives on a given issue or concept. In general, computers have aided education and have altered the way we work and learn.

Aside from the above-mentioned, education and computer literacy go hand in hand when it comes to giving service to its people because having computer knowledge helps to improve efficiency, workflow, and overall experience. Students are able to generate more in less time, freeing up resources to do more. Furthermore, there are numerous computer applications that educate students using various approaches. Also, the computer is extremely beneficial especially to research students who want to look up references. They can readily complete their research using the internet and a computer. In addition, with internet access, students can learn endlessly about any subject. Because visual learning has a greater impact on memory than spoken learning, electronic note-taking with computers can assist students in improved understanding and long-term memory. Computers are also used to maintain track of students in schools, colleges, and universities, which can be accessed quickly when needed especially in this time of pandemic where everything is done online.

These are just some of the computer's most important characteristics when it comes to education. We are sure that in different factors, computers are beneficial as well. The computer has completely transformed our way of life and work. It makes day-to-day life a lot easier. As new technologies are invented, we shall witness many more advantages and vital elements of this technology in the future. However, we should remember that being dependent on the computer too much is also not good. Let us not abuse its help and functions and let us still work on our own.

Distinguishing an Effective DepEd Administrator Through the Triple A Framework

Regine Il M. Tolorio

Administrative Assistant III

“There are no extra pieces in the universe. Everyone is here because he or she has a place to fill, and every piece must fit itself into the big jigsaw puzzle”- Deepak Chopra

Numerous efforts and time are essential before attaining successful administration in the Department of Education (DepEd). Furthermore, success in a large institution is vital and dependent on the efforts of its personnel. Administrators at the Department of Education have a great honor and responsibility. As a result, as each administrator is viewed as a piece of a jigsaw puzzle illustrating DepEd's success, they must also fill every missing quality for fulfilling their obligations as an administrator.

If you are one of the aspirants of becoming the future administrator in DepEd, the Triple A framework will surely help you. What is Triple A? The Triple A stands for Abstraction, Action, and Ascension. These three processes must be done efficiently for the administrator to prove that they are capable and accurate in their job. Despite the unique approach of every administrator, the Triple A framework entails that administration in DepEd must be done coherently, systematically, and efficiently.

Abstraction in Administration is the initial step to take. It is the process of conceptualizing the plans of the organization. This is the stage where you observe and sort out projects that are needed immediately, projects that can wait, and projects that are not necessary. An administrator must be knowledgeable of the capabilities of the resources and efforts of DepEd. Moreover, they do not settle for the status quo. They create a mission, vision, objectives, strategies, and plans in order to meet the desired outcomes.

Actions are expected if the plan has already been prepared. Even if you have all of these ideas, they will be useless if they are not put into action. As a result, the administrator now enters the Action procedure. Providing an Action is easier and more successful with the help of Abstraction's results. The action procedure is when an administrator orders that the decisions made be carried out. Their presence is particularly important in the action phase because they must approve the necessary adjustments for a stronger project. It also determines whether the abstract or plans are feasible, measurable, and applied.

Last but not least is the Ascension. Ascension is the last stage of an effective administration in DepEd. If the Action stage determines the effectivity of the Abstraction, Ascension is a determinant of the success of the first two stages. Ascension is the ability of the administration to empower others. It is where an administrator gains the loyalty and trust of others through their effective work that was able to bring common good for the welfare of the overall DepEd governance. Ascension tells that true success creates more success.

The Tripple A framework is not only applicable in DepEd administration. It can also be used in various management of fields.

FOUNDATIONS OF MANAGEMENT IN EDUCATIONAL CONTEXT: HOW THE COMPONENTS OF MANAGEMENT INTERTWINE WITH ‘SCHOOL MANAGEMENT’

Shan Lorraine P. Magaoay

Pura, Tarlac

The term 'management' refers to a variety of tasks that must be completed for a task to be completed successfully. Management is all about 'getting things done. But the definition of the word ‘management’ is controversial and subject to debate. There have been many contradictory views on what the term ‘management’ means and accordingly how ‘one’ should correctly manage an organization. However, management is defined as the manner and process by which one achieves one's target or goals, and it is in this regard that management is seen as both an art and a science. Planning, organizing, staffing, leading, or directing, and controlling an organization (a group of one or more individuals or entities) or effort to achieve a goal are all examples of management.

On the other hand, certain schools of management philosophy have emerged in the twenty-first century. Managing a school organization now is a lot more challenging and needs a special person who will take the challenge of leading the whole team and carry them to the top. With this, every school reflects the issues of the period in which it was popular because, in that way, the school will have an idea about what works best for them.

We are all aware that the main goal of education is to help pupils develop their abilities and potential. School management, as a discipline of practice, focuses on how educational administrators specifically principals organize the activities (operations) of their institutions to ensure that the goals specified are met effectively and efficiently (capacity development). The notions of education management and administration and leadership are intertwined. As a result, most school leaders struggle to strike a balance between school operations (management), leadership, staff and student performance improvement, and administration or lower-order responsibilities. In addition, it helps to conceptualize education management or, more precisely, to discover what education management is and how it affects schools. This will assist school leaders in comprehending the context of educational management and avoiding the misunderstanding that now exists between administration, management, and leadership.

In conclusion, having stable school management has given principals and other school administrators the ability to plan, direct, lead and organize school operations to ensure that students' potential and capacities are realized. This is because educational management functions are the foundation of all school operations carried out by school administrators. In the end, we may state that education management is founded on the core managing components which are the aforementioned planning, regulating, organizing, and leading.

The Special Ingredient of Academic Success:  Significance of Parental Involvement in Educational Management

Mary Grace Bungay

In an article written by Rebecca Gaunt entitled “What Are the Advantages & Disadvantages of Parent Involvement in Education?”, parental involvement is the least obvious necessity of successful educational management. However, lack of parental engagement is a downside for the management of educational institutions. Hence, schools encourage the parents of the students to cooperate in providing a better learning-friendly home atmosphere for more ideal outcomes. Parental involvement is commonly accomplished by holding meetings to inform parents about school projects and to consolidate parents' comments for better implementation.

Moreover, PTA committees and classroom volunteering are all ways for parental engagement in their children's education. On contrary, the school does not want the parents to be overly involved to the point that they deal with situations that should be dealt with by their child. Parental participation is a typical component of school management, but it may also be a winning strategy. Parents' involvement must be measured in a moderate and precise manner. Furthermore, parents' active role in schools has a host of benefits.

Several studies show that students who have strong parental support perform better in school. Family influence encourages students to work hard and get higher grades. As a result, schools with parental involvement have a lower dropout rate and has more quality programs and school environment.

Furthermore, parent cooperation generates a vibrant school community with excellent relationships among all school members. Optimistic interactions between people in the school establish unity, which is essential to successful educational management. In addition, even if they are working, parents will form stronger bonds with their children. It is vital that the child receives time and attention from their parents in order to be competitive in school.

Getting to know each other can help to alleviate frustrations such as a teacher's approach to discipline. Many studies have looked into how parental influence might help learners excel as well as teachers' work. Some of the benefits include the reduction of absenteeism when parents and teachers communicate effectively. At all educational levels, parental participation makes a difference, while its impact diminishes as the student becomes older.

A child's attitude toward school, classroom conduct, motivation levels, self-esteem, and absenteeism can all benefit from parents showing interest and encouragement in their child's education. Parents of disadvantaged children, minority or low-income group children do not frequently get active owing to a lack of information and training. Such parents may be able to participate in the improvement of their children's performance and contribute positively to the school.

The best opportunity for educational success is given to students whose parents are enthusiastic supporters of their children's learning. According to research, parental participation can benefit children of all ages on a developmental level that goes beyond academics as well.

Exceeding above the limitation: Impact of Educational Management in Student Excellence

Albert Einstein, who has an estimated IQ of 205 to 225, is one of the world's smartest people of all time. Einstein died on April 18, 1955, but after countless changes and advancements in society, his works and achievements are still a living legend. Are you one of the people who have ever wondered to which school Einstein belonged? What role did Einstein's education at schools play in his rise to fame? What rules and procedures are in place in such schools? Those are just a few of the majority's unavoidable concerns. Einstein entered several schools including University of Zurich, ETH Zurich, Alte Kantonsschule Aarau, and Luitpold-Gymnasium. It is unquestionable for Albert Einstein to receive his title and prominence because he came from a leading research university in Europe, the University of Zurich. The University of Zurich is also one of the largest universities with enormous enrollees. It offers the broadest range of degrees.

To be like Albert Einstein, it starts within yourself, and the school also plays an essential role to make it happen. School management affects the performance of the students. Educational management prioritizes the budget for supporting student activities. All plans will be useless without the implementation. Launching an event or project, requires time, effort, and money. Academic and Non-academic activities for students affect their excellency.

Student programs can either provide students with new knowledge or provide them with a training ground to help them expand and hone their abilities. Additionally, student competition earns the institution additional credits and honors. It also increases the student's knowledge by challenging them to reach their full potential and rise over the competition. As a result, prioritizing the funding for student assistance during the competition must be emphasized. This is one of the most significant issues for contestants who study in a public school. The confidence and quality of the learners' work will be improved by financial assistance.

The relationship between students and teachers is also mandated by educational management. Furthermore, teacher excellence leads to student achievement. As a result, teacher training and ongoing monitoring of their performance have an impact on the entire process of learning. Successful students are both born and trained. The performance of your students will improve if you have qualified instructors in your institution.

Creating an ideal school environment with adequate school supplies will aid in the development of a stronger bond between all school members. Ample space for athletic students will result in a better performance. Practice makes perfect.  Excellence is the outcome of practice. However, a lack of training space and equipment is a major impediment to success.

Student great achievement is the best indicator of successful educational management. When you achieve excellence, you go above and beyond the norm.

The “Bayanihan” Scheme in Educational Management

The school is like a train in a journey with different stations, with changes of routes, and with accidents. It means that a school is a constant operation of producing successful stories of illustrious citizens. School undergoes different changes due to changing environment. Hence, it’s always been a part of the role of school administration to take which route is accurate. Change of plans, change of routes does not signify failure but represents how educational institutions try to be flexible to save millions of their passengers with diverse purposes and destinations.

Selecting which is best among all positive options might be ideal but difficult. This job is part of school administration. School administration makes everything in plans and order. It minimizes waste of time, money, and effort. Every single step in administering the school contains significant details that cause changes to the entire institution and will eventually affect the students, teachers, parents, and other school staff. With that, incorporating a core strategy for educational systems will surely create a huge difference.

Decentralization educational management is one of the widely used approaches in administering the school. Fact that this approach is proven effective in today’s setup, many schools adopt decentralization to improve the quality of the education in their place.

The decentralization tactic uses all its power and resources to have a more solid and efficient outcome. The responsibility is not only vested to the educational leaders. Educational leaders who use this style practice the equal allocation of tasks. In those cases, decentralization produces well screened and organized programs. There are more brains, more hands, more ideas, more forces to maximize achievements.

Decentralization is frequently felt like a necessity by most schools to maintain efficiency in their operations. With more time available, and not overloaded by tasks, top management can concentrate on making key decisions.

Job satisfaction and employee morale improve as a result of decentralization. It aims to meet a variety of participation, independence, and status requirements. Every product division gains enough autonomy under decentralization to exercise its creative flair. School staff can generate healthy rivalry among different departments in this way.

Decentralization offers each division a significant amount of autonomy, making overall activity coordination harder. Decentralization may be impossible to gain from due to shortage in salary expenses, educational uncertainties, and wrong choice of workers. The dearth of skilled employees of the educational organization adds to the difficulty factor. Every employee in a decentralized organization accepts responsibility for the betterment of the organization, thus they work harder to achieve all of the organization's goals. In exchange, they must be paid more, which can be highly costly for the institution.

The decentralization method promotes unity among all individuals involved. All school members are a big piece in the school’s masterpiece.

How can Educational Management Reshapes the School Future?

Ramirez, Gina C.

A school is a place where a wide range of activities is carried out. The ability to transform people into a better or worse version of themselves makes these processes vital for humans. School is one of the best locations to enhance one's interpersonal skills. Some people's success can be attributed to their mentors at home and school. The above-mentioned processes are primarily handled by school leaders or educational heads.

Educational leaders strive for both academic and non-academic success. To socialize, teach, and learn, they make sure the environment is favorable. Financial management is also the responsibility of educational leaders. Every move they take has the potential to have a significant impact on everyone's life.

It is impossible to exaggerate the value of education in a child's life. Educating students and their parents is the responsibility of teachers. But who can assist a teacher in achieving success in the classroom? Principals and teachers play important responsibilities in schools. It is necessary to have a positive relationship between administrators and instructors, and it is critical to school improvement.

Principals must have a moral mission to effect change. The leader must understand the transformation process, the establishment of connections, and expertise to establish and share responsibilities. This means that for it to be effective, everyone in the school environment, including instructors, students, and parents, must contribute. The principal's rule should not be absolute, because a democratic educational community must encourage free-flowing learning.

School administration is designed to address the needs and concerns of students at school. Allowing academic professionals and students more labor and discomfort by refusing to use innovative school management tools. Administrators can use school management systems to keep track of student data and manage the school's resources efficiently. It also gives pupils the freedom to direct their educational path. Teachers' evaluation is an important part of a school administrator's job description.

You can use any form of evaluation instrument you like, however, some educational institutions do not. To set out your expectations and procedures, schedule pre-and post-evaluation meetings with the teacher you'll be observing. Make community involvement a priority for your school. There is a clear correlation between family participation and student benefits, such as academic achievement, according to studies.

Educational management benefits the school and its stakeholders. Reciprocally, the school needs the fulfillment of the roles of stakeholders to make it effective. It serves as a driving force for workflows, efficiency, and process consistency throughout the institution.

SILENT PRESENCE RESONATES A MILLION GOLDS

CERELINA G. REGIS

Administrative Assistant II

DepEd-Tarlac Province

The ability to generate professionals is one of the country's assets. Professionals are persons who have overcome several challenges and barriers to reach success. Despite having uncertainties about themselves, they are those who still manage to achieve triumph in their chosen career. A person must exhibit dedication, honesty, and responsibility before being considered "professional." When they hold their titles, they have a new sense of ownership over their privileges, rights, obligations, and responsibilities. They are also the sturdy backbones of their country, and they are the agents of change in their homeland. As a result, the Philippines have a Department of Education (DepEd) that oversees and regulates the country's enormous professional production.

School is one of the most important institutions that necessitates a competent and structured administration. Educational management includes the creation of policies and objectives. The policies are created to resolve complaints and issues linked to teaching, student experiences, and quality resource management at the school.

Teaching is the single career that develops all other professions. In today's generation, evaluating and maintaining quality in the teaching style of their school's instructors is considered effective educational leadership and educational administration.

The Civil Service Commission and the Department of Education's Issuances Concerning Teaching and Non-Teaching Personnel were detailed in an article published in TeacherPh, a professional development online community of teachers and for teachers. According to the article, teachers' presence is part of administering the school to further encourage outstanding education.

In today's education, biometrics are employed in conjunction with the logbook to record the attendance of teachers and other school workers more accurately. DepEd requires all non-teaching and teaching workers to log in 15 minutes before the scheduled time and log out 15 minutes after the scheduled time to enforce discipline.

In accordance with what is stipulated in Section 5, Rule XVII of the Omnibus Rules Implementing I, Subtitle A, Book V of the Administrative Code of 1987, all employees working for the Department of Education must work at least 8 hours a day for five days in a week, for a total of forty hours. Additionally, Habitual Absenteeism and Habitual Tardiness are punishable by the Department of Education.

Teachers' attendance is essential not only to satisfy a job obligation but also to demonstrate their involvement in their students' journeys to their diverse and productive success. Furthermore, it shows educators' sincerity and sacrifices in volunteering their time to transmit wisdom to improve their students' knowledge and competence so that they would become one of those professionals at their own perfect time.

Administration, leadership, and management are the three main words that distinguish DepEd employees, personnel, and officers as real experts based on their deeds rather than their titles. With the above-mentioned administration style, discipline, accountability, and integrity are being practiced by DepEd at all seasons.

HOW DOES DEPED EMPLOYEE WORKS? Personality defines your ability to be Professional

RUBY ANN L. FACUN

“Professionalism shouldn’t be defined by a person’s paycheck, role, or title. It should be defined by a person’s work ethic. “– Janna Cachola

Educational management is an art and integral part of the Department of Education (DepEd). It ensures that every corner of the DepEd’s master plan is well-mandated and well-constructed to make it achievable. As a result, DepEd divided and designated its employees in a different department to maximize the production of desirable outcomes. Moreover, qualifications in educational degree, training, skills, seminars, certificates, and credentials are imposed in hiring its employees. More than those, the personality and attitude of the applicant’s matter.

Without a doubt, the personality of employees affects their performance and interaction with others in their workplace. Ethical decision-making in the workplace takes into account the individual employee's best interest. Furthermore, ethical behavior doesn't only apply to individual employees, the organization itself should exemplify standards of ethical conduct. Excellent personalities and ethics are not just what is right. Also, it must be what is good for everyone.

DepEd frequently promotes and supports ethical behavior as a result of the danger of reputational loss and harm caused by negative news. Equally as unethical activity in the DepEd office can inspire detrimental headlines. Additionally, ethical behavior in the workplace can stimulate positive employee behaviors that lead to educational progress. The school staffs’ decision to act unethically can strain the relationship and harm the DepEd’s reputation.

To help guarantee ethical conditions and perceptions of educational organizational support are present in the workplace, it is advisable to take initiatives to build a positive narrative around their reputation. Implementing a proactive employee voice system is the single most essential thing DepEd can do differently to promote ethical behavior. Employees in DepEd voice tools should work proactively to discover and stop unethical behavior. A perceived ethical or unethical reputation can be beneficial or detrimental to DepEd.

The integrity, responsibility, and discipline imposed by DepEd are aided by ethics in teaching and non-teaching employees. DepEd's ethical policy includes a proper dress code. The Department of Education requires that all employees wear official clothing. Employees of the Department of Education must dress professionally and adhere to their allotted schedule.

On days when there is no authorized outfit for DepEd staff, acceptable attire must be worn in place of the official uniform. On Friday, DepEd teachers usually have the option of not wearing their official clothing. Nevertheless, they are required to dress in formal and proper attire.

Employees of the Department of Education's languages and words are also evaluated. It is unlawful to employ unethical words. Employee-student connections that aren't desired are also highly banned. The fundamental motivation for enforcing ethical standards in DepEd is professionalism. DepEd wants to make sure that all of its stakeholders are focused solely on academic achievement.
